July 2024: James is delighted to return as accompanist for South Downs Singers summer concert.
July 2024: Returned as concert manager for JAM on the Marsh festival 2024.
June 2024: Commissioned to arrange 'Farewell to Stromness', clarinet, violin and piano for JAM on the Marsh 2024.
June 2024: Conducted the Stonegate choir in their summer concert of opera choruses.
January 2024: Musical Director for production of 'Guys and Dolls' at the Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne.
December 2023: Conducted the Stonegate Choir in their performance of Vivaldi's Gloria, accompanied on organ by Francesca Massey.
September 2023: Appointed Musical Director of the Stonegate Choir.
August 2023: End of a hugely successful tour with Changeling Theatre of School for Scandal and Love's Labour's Lost with over 40 performances over the summer.
July 2023: Successful performance of 'Silent Shadows' by the London Mozart Players at JAM on the Marsh. In a review of the performance James' music was described as a "worthy successor to the intensive string-writing of Britten and Tippett"

March 2023: Completed composition of Piano Sonatina.
January 2023: Commission from renowned theatre company 'Changeling Theatres' to write the music for their 2023 summer tour of Love's Labour's Lost and School for Scandal.
January 2023: Promoted to assistant director of music at leading HMC independent school Bede's Senior School in East Sussex.
December 2022: Conducted a hugely successful performance of 'Faure's Requiem' with the South Down Singers in Polegate, East Sussex to a sold out audience.
July 2022: Concert manager for JAM on the Marsh festival.
June 2022: Completed a setting of the famous William Blake poem A Sick Rose for SATB.
April 2022: Completed Missa Brevis.
March 2022: World premiere of My Song, a piece for SAB and piano performed by the South Down Singers.
January 2022: Appointed as the accompanist for Stonegate choir under the musical direction of Dr Jane Pendry.
January 2022: Began PhD studies in composition at the University of Aberdeen under the supervision of Royal Composer Professor Paul Mealor and world renowned musicologist, Professor Edward Campbell.
July 2021: Graduated the University of Sussex after studying for a PGCE.
December 2021: Conducted the South Downs Singers in their annual Christmas concert.
November 2019: Graduated the University of Aberdeen after studying for a Masters Degree in vocal music (composition) with a distinction.
October 2019: World premiere of A New Life, for soprano and piano performed at SOUND festival by Jillian Bain-Christie and Ben Marsden.
September 2019: Appointed Musical Director of South Down Singers.
September 2019: Appointed as Teacher of Music at leading independent HMC school, Bede's Senior School.

July 2018: 'Summer Moonlight' a composition for soprano and piano is premiered at JAM on the Marsh festival.
July 2018: Graduated the University of Aberdeen with a first class bachelors degree with honours.
May 2018: Commissioned by the Warsaw Chamber Choir to write A Prayer of Thomas Aquinas.
April 2018: World premiere of Ave Maria at St. John's Archcathedral, Warsaw.
